Framed Paintings

This wall hanging artwork is done with mixed media generally using conservation grade manufactured mounting and art media materials. Backgrounds are plain, white paper. Where there is a subtle, colored, light shading in the backgrounds of the photos of the original artwork, it is generally due to the camera sensing variations of the ambient light across the paper, which adds a nice effect to the photo and any prints made from the image file, but is not the same as the original art.
After photographing them, all these paintings/drawings/collages have been matted and framed with a glass cover.
You should be aware that the artwork's appearance when framed under glass will not be as vivid as what you see here on a monitor because the light shining up here to your eyes with the color you are seeing is a direct source whereas a framed print is lighted from an external source that has to be reflected back to you off the mounted paper and also has to get thru the glazing twice before it reaches your eye. There will also be some distracting surface reflections from other room lighted objects. However, the positive side in the framing of the art for wall hanging is that it becomes a continual and prominent presence in the house environment and the matting and frame enhance the artist's communication. There is also the possibility for the owner of the art to make a unique connection and contribution to the artwork by selecting the framing elements for its display.
When there is a link labeled "File" following the original artwork's measurement, that is a link to an image file large enough to print at the same size as the original art.
